We need your support to help us continue our work to help vulnerable women and children, as well as to  enhance opportunities for women in the legal profession.

You can support our work through a one-time donation or make a more lasting contribution through your estate plan.  A charitable gift to HWLF in your will or trust can help reduce estate taxes at your death, while also helping programs for women and children in Hawaii.

IRAs also present a unique planning opportunity.  If you are age 70½ or older, you can transfer up to $100,000 each year from your IRA directly to a charity and not have it included in your taxable income (though there are some special rules, so you should definitely consult with your accountant).  And, at death, payments from your retirement account to a charitable organization such as HWLF will not be subject to income taxes (whereas your children in most cases will need to pay income taxes on retirement assets that they inherit).

For more information, please email HWLF at hawaiiwomenslegalfoundation@gmail.com.

Thank you for helping us help others.
